At the Michigan Awards 2008


Awards

For the last two decades, horses trained by Nicole Holst and Rafael Ruvalcaba have consistently earned top awards in their states. Additionally, the Holst-Ruvalcaba team has earned Trainer of the Year Honors many times around, and many times have ranked among the top trainers nationally. Following are a few recent awards.

• 2007 Michgan 3 yr Colt/gelding Champion- Need For Speed, owned by Terri Holst, "Speedy" also earned the Michigan Bred Horse of the Year Award, which has been won very few times by a three year old

• 2007 Michgan 4 yr Mare/ Filly Champion- Chick With A Toy, owned by partnership of Bill Lybeer, Craig Zeneburg and Julie Post

• 2007 Michigan Champion Older Mare, Konfeti CS, owned by Eric and Randi Moreau-Siepiere

• 2007 Michigan Reserve Champion Older Mare- Jolly Lady, owned by Julie Post

This is Nate Alcala, being presented with ARAB's Jockey of the Year award for 2007, by Racing Commissioner Christina White, for the second year in a row!. He was our first call jockey in 2006 and 2007 and plans are to ride for us again in the 2008 season.
